The beach is a great canvas to capture some breathtaking moments, from the drama of rolling storms to the tranquillity of sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky. This section captures the ever-changing moods of the ocean —the interplay of light, water, and weather that creates stunning scenes. The raw power of a stormy sea or the quiet beauty of a golden horizon, I share the stories of these coastal moments, celebrating their beauty and serenity.
Fact Plastic pollution is choking our planet. Over 400 million tonnes of plastic are produced yearly, yet less than 9% is recycled. Millions of tonnes end up in the ocean, where they entangle marine life, break down into toxic microplastics, and even enter our food chain. By 2050, nearly all seabirds will have ingested plastic, and microplastics have now been detected in human blood and drinking water.
Fact: Climate change is further compounding the crisis. Rising global temperatures are heating the oceans, causing coral bleaching, disrupting marine ecosystems, and intensifying storms. Coastal erosion is accelerating as stronger waves, rising sea levels, and increased flooding wash away shorelines.
Without urgent action, deforestation, plastic pollution, and climate change will reshape our planet—eroding coastlines, destabilising ecosystems, and threatening life as we know it.

I took this at sunrise from my house at Whale Beach. Storms often sit offshore and give so amazing sunrises.
